Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan Received Fabio Vaz Pitaluga, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil
Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan received Fabio Vaz Pitaluga, H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The discussions focused on global environmental processes and new opportunities for bilateral cooperation, particularly regarding preparations and key agenda areas for the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) to be held in Brazil in November 2025, and the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) to be held in Armenia in October 2026.

Deputy Minister Aram Meymaryan Participates in Session and Meeting Dedicated to the Convention on Biological Diversity
Aram Meymaryan, Deputy Minister of Environment of the RA, is in the Republic of Panama, where he is participating in the 27th session of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA) of the Convention on Biological Diversity, as well as the first meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Article 8(j) and Other Provisions of the Convention.

Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan Met with Petr Pirunčík, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Armenia
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of sectoral issues. Reference was made to the two-year Twinning Programme “Strengthened Protection and Sustainable Use of Biodiversity in Armenia in Line with European Standards,” coordinated by the Ministry of Environment of the RA and funded by the European Union. The programme was jointly implemented by the Czech Republic and the Republic of Finland.
