Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan Delivered a Speech at the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services
Speaking in his capacity as President of COP17, the Minister presented the position and priorities of the Republic of Armenia. He noted that biodiversity loss continues at an alarming rate worldwide, undermining the ecosystems upon which economies, food systems, human health, and quality of life depend.

The parties discussed key areas for engaging international partners and deepening cooperation within the framework of the preparations, including capacity building, coordination of professional agendas, and the organizational and political support mechanisms required for the successful organization of the conference.

Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan Met with Emma Reynolds, UK Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
The delegation of the Republic of Armenia is in Manchester to participate in the 12th Plenary Session of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES-12). As part of the visit, a number of bilateral meetings have been planned to ensure effective dialogue with international partners and coordinate sectoral priorities.
