On May 22, a solemn event marked the conclusion of the series of events held during "Biodiversity Week," an initiative launched by the Ministry of Environment of the RA. The event was dedicated to the International Day for Biological Diversity and highlighted Armenia’s achievements and ongoing commitments within the framework of this important initiative.

On May 22, in celebration of the International Day for Biological Diversity, nine Caucasian red deer were released into the wild in the forests near Yeghegnut Village, Lori Region. This symbolic event served as a powerful message highlighting the importance of biodiversity restoration and promoting responsible behavior towards wildlife.

The events dedicated to the International Day for Biological Diversity have begun. 38,800 small fish of the summer subspecies of Sevan trout were released into Lake Sevan.
