The First Agroforestry Conference Was Held in Armenia
The first agroforestry conference (AFCA 2024) has been held in Armenia. The event is part of the “Forest Restoration and Climate Change in Armenia” (FORACCA) project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Within the framework of the FORACCA project, the Armenian National Agrarian University (ANAU) team is conducting research for the design and implementation of agroforestry systems in Armenia.

On October 22-25, Tigran Gabrielyan, Deputy Minister of Environment and Lilit Abrahamyan, Head of the Water Policy Department of the Ministry of the Environment, participated at the closing event of the “EU4Environment - Water Resources and Environmental Data” Programme, as well as at the tenth session of the Meeting of the Parties (MOP 10) to the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes (Water Convention) organized in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Hakob Simidyan, Minister of the Environment of the RA was on a working visit to the "Environmental Impact Expertise Center" SNCO
Before the discussion of the current works, the minister was given a tour of the SNCO’s territory, got introduced to the conditions, capabilities and technical equipment of the building. Sergo Atanesyan, Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment of the RA accompanied the minister.
