The Rates for Nature Use Fees for Biological Resources that Are Objects of the Fauna, Along with the Procedure for Their Payment, Will Be Revised
Hakob Simidyan, the Minister of Environment of Armenia, presented the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia during the March 4th National Assembly session. The draft law proposes revising the nature use fee rates for wildlife and the procedure for their payment.

The Prime Minister receives Executive Secretary of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity
The Prime Minister welcomed Ms. Schomaker's visit and noted that it will provide an opportunity to discuss the progress of the work being carried out towards organizing the COP17 conference to be held in Armenia and the upcoming tasks. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of active cooperation and support in order to effectively implement the preparatory work. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Government of Armenia will make every effort to hold the event in the best possible way.

A delegation led by Astrid Schomaker, Executive Secretary of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, has arrived in the Republic of Armenia, the host country of the upcoming UN Conference on Biological Diversity, to familiarize themselves with the preparations for the conference.

Hakob Simidyan, Minister of Environment of the RA Received Mr. George Sharvashidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia
After welcoming the Ambassador to the Ministry of Environment, the Minister spoke about the friendly and partnership relations between Armenia and Georgia, particularly highlighting the 14th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation recently held in Yerevan. During this session, he had the opportunity to meet with his counterpart from the neighboring country and discuss matters related to the development of environmental cooperation between the two countries.

Discussion on Improving Ambient Air Quality at the Yerevan Aarhus Center
The Coordinating Council of the Aarhus Center hosted a roundtable discussion titled “Air Pollution Issues in Yerevan: The Role of Responsible Institutions” at the Yerevan Aarhus Center. Officials from the "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO of the Ministry of Environment of the RA, Yerevan Municipality, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, as well as representatives from various non-governmental organizations attended the discussion.
