Deputy Minister Aram Meymaryan Participated in the 30th ENVIRONET Plenary Meeting Organized by the OECD

Aram Meymaryan, Deputy Minister of Environment of the RA, participated in the three-day 30th ENVIRONET Plenary Meeting organized by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris.
Participants discussed current trends in development cooperation in the areas of climate change, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable ocean management. As the country presiding over the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17), Armenia presented its approaches, emphasizing the interlinkages between the climate and biodiversity agendas.
Aram Meymaryan also presented Armenia’s new national commitments as an example of the integrated implementation of climate and biodiversity policies, highlighting the role of the private sector in biodiversity conservation initiatives.
Within the framework of the meeting, the Deputy Minister held bilateral discussions with the Chair of the OECD Development Assistance Committee and representatives of the Organization, addressing the expected outcomes of CBD COP17, issues related to the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, and prospects for strengthening cooperation with the OECD.
