Deputy Minister Aram Meymaryan took part in the final forum of the EU-funded Partnership against Pollution of Rural Green Spaces program. The program is aimed at improving the quality of the environment and reducing the dewatering of rivers in rural areas, supporting the introduction of modern waste management experience and environmental awareness in Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Romania.

Seminar on the problems of access and quality assurance of statistical data required for national reporting on climate change
Within the framework of the UNDP/GEF program "Building the national transparency framework of Armenia in accordance with the Paris Agreement", carried out under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment, a seminar was held on the topic "Problems of ensuring the availability and quality of statistical data necessary for national reporting on climate change". The purpose of the seminar was to discuss with stakeholders and the expert community the indicators necessary for Armenia's accountability under the Framework Convention on Climate Change, to compile a list of indicators that need improvement, and to outline a range of further work in this direction. Deputy Minister of Environment Gayane Gabrielyan delivered the opening speech at the seminar.

The meeting was attended by Artur Asoyan, Head of the Office for Coordination of Work of Inspection Bodies of the RA Prime Minister's Office, Armen Harutyunyan, Deputy Minister of Justice, Ani Ispirian, Deputy Minister of Economy, Hovhannes Harutunyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, Hovhannes Martirosyan, Head of the Nature and Subsoil Protection Inspection Body, Hovhannes Martirosyan, Head of the Department of Regional Geology and Mineral Exploration of the Faculty of Geography and Geology of Yerevan State University, Candidate of Geological Sciences, Associate Professor Shagen Khachatryan, Suren Melikyan, a member of the Mantashyants Union of Entrepreneurs, and Yurik Hakobyan, a representative of the NGO "Union of Geologists of Armenia". The agenda of the meeting included 6 issues.

The pilot program "Waste and Flood management of the closed quarry of the city of Artik", implemented with the financing of the Adaptation Fund of the Environmental Projects Implementation Unit, is coming to an end
