Strict control measures continue in the territory of "Sevan" National Park

On September 7, as a result of the strict control measures carried out by the special purpose squad of the "Sevan National Park ", 274 illegal crab catchers were taken out of the lake from the coastal part of the "Geghama" recreation area adjacent to the Sevan community and 136 live crabs were returned to the lake.
Let's remind that according to the decision of the Government, only industrial hunting of whitefish is allowed in Lake Sevan during the specified period and only in the quantities allowed by the signed contract, and the permitted quantities of crab hunting are not defined.
The hunting tools taken out of the lake are on the list of prohibited hunting tools.
The events are ongoing.
Dear citizens, such events have one goal: to restore the ecosystem of Lake Sevan through the restoration of the lake's biological resources, which is in the interests of every citizen of the Republic of Armenia.
