The program "Mitigating human-wildlife conflict caused by climate change in Armenia" was launched on May 13 within the framework of a meeting-discussion in which participated Aram Meimaryan, the Deputy Minister of Environment, John Gallagher, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Armenia, representatives from the Ministry, the Provincial Government of Vayots Dzor , the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology of the National Academy of Sciences of the RA and from various environmental organizations.

Global climate change is leading to an increase in the frequency and intensity of dangerous hydrometeorological events, such as floods, droughts, hurricanes, tornadoes, from unprecedented heat to unusual frosts.
