A meeting of the Committee of the Berne Convention was held in Strasbourg
The Bern Convention adopts a Strategic Plan to guide its progress towards the 2030 conservation targets.
2023 From November 27 to December 1, the 43rd session of the Committee of the Berne Convention (full name: Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Environment) was held in Strasbourg. During the session, the convention's standing committee adopted the 2030 strategic plan.

New regulations to protect the ozone layer will come into effect
On November 24, 2017, the Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement was signed between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community and their member states. The road map, which is the result of the signing of that agreement, sets out obligations to restore ozone-depleting substances in the regulation from 2024, which means that the new concepts must be reflected in the Law on the Protection of the Ozone Layer.
