Biodiversity and Protected Areas Component Advisory Agreement of the "Biodiversity and Sustainable Local Development in Armenia" program was signed.
The Ministry of Environment, represented by Deputy Minister Aram Meymaryan, and the World Wide Fund for Nature Armenian Branch, represented by Director Karen Manvelyan, which was selected as implementing advisor for the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Component Advisory Agreement of the "Biodiversity and Sustainable Local Development in Armenia" program, signed the advisory agreement for the implementation of the component.
Erik Tintrup, Charge d'affaires of the Federal Republic of Germany, Arman Vermishyan, Caucasus Nature Fund Representative Office Director – Armenia, heads of the ministry's professional departments and media representatives attended the official signing ceremony.
After greeting the partners, Deputy Minister Aram Meymaryan expressed gratitude on behalf of the Ministry for the continuous and reliable cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Republic of Germany.
"It is important to note that as a result of carrying out a number of joint programs and effective measures over the years, we have reached the solution of the important problems of the sector and now we have moved our cooperation to a higher level of mutual trust.
I would like to emphasize that the Ministry of Environment has always relied on the assistance and support of the German Government during the implementation of environmental issues and important initiatives in the field," said the Deputy Minister.
