Joint Monitoring for Environmental Protection project in Dilijan National Park
In the frames of the joint implementation of the EU-funded “Joint Monitoring for Environmental Protection in BSB countries” project, employees of Scientific Unit of “Dilijan” National Park regularly conduct inspections in the national park to study red-book and invasive herbs, tree species; the collection of materials on the populations of the target species, the occupied areas, the species features and their distribution.

Today, the conservation unit of "Sevan" national park supervised a special duty on Lake Sevan
20 illegal fishing nets were withdrawn of the lake and 230 fish fry in the nets.
The fishing nets are confiscated and destroyed by the defined order of the law.

New forests with an area of more than 30 hectares will be established in Artsakh.

11 schools of Syunik region received grants within the framework of “Support Program for Protected Areas-Armenia” (SPPA-A) project of the Ministry of Environment
Under the 3rd stage of "Financial Participatory Approach" component of "SPPA-A" project, a project competition was held for the 4 target cities of the SPPA-A program in RA Syunik region: Kapan, Kajaran, Meghri and Agarak. The programs illustrated by the schools were on environmental topics, and the amount of grants given to implement the programs, to instill love for nature in schoolchildren and perform environmental education activities amounted to up to 1.500.000 AMD.
