The Ministry of Environment headed by Minister Hakob Simidyan, with the participation of representatives of the Sevan National Park, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, the RA Police, the Yerevan City Prosecutor's Office, the Gegharkunik Regional Administration, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, the Yerevan Municipality and the Scientific Center of Hydroecology and Zoology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia summed up the results of a joint program of strict control measures carried out during the whitefish spawning period in Lake Sevan from December 20, 2021 to January 15, 2022.

By 2021, the stocks of whitefish have increased in Lake Sevan compared to last year
If by 2020 the total whitefish stock in the lake was 2,345 tons, of which the industrial stock was 586.25 tons, and then by 2021 the total whitefish stock was 5,348.32 tons, of which the industrial stock was 641.80 tons.
