Reforms in the Field of Chemical Regulation Continue at the Initiative of the Ministry of Environment
Ara Mkrtchyan, Deputy Minister of Environment of the RA, met with Alen Amirkhanyan, Director of the Acopian Center for the Environment of the American University of Armenia, as well as representatives of the “Green Agenda Armenia” project funded by the Swedish Government. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the process of developing the Draft Law on Chemical Substances, launched within the framework of the program, including its main directions and expected outcomes.

Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan Presented the Activities Planned by the Ministry of Environment of the RA within the Framework of the 2026 Draft Budget Allocations
At the November 13 sitting of the tenth session of the eighth convocation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment of the RA, presented the activities planned by the Ministry of Environment within the framework of the 2026 draft budget allocations. Considering the political and international significance for the country, Minister Matevosyan highlighted one of the largest upcoming environmental events to be held in Yerevan in October 2026—the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17).
