Within the framework of COP30 being held in the Federative Republic of Brazil, Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment of the RA, met with Astrid Schomaker, Executive Secretary of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity. The discussions covered the agreements reached during Astrid Schomaker’s recent visit to Armenia, as well as the preparatory work for the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17).

Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan Participates in the 30th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
The goal of COP30 is to advance global climate action and support the full implementation of the Paris Agreement, ensuring fair, effective, and sustainable cooperation among countries aimed at overcoming the climate crisis. The conference also provides heads of state and government with a platform to present their positions and national visions on environmental protection, natural resource conservation, food security, and disaster risk reduction.
