Due to the period of whitefish spawning, from December 20, 2021 to January 15, 2022, intensified control measures will be implemented in Lake Sevan and throughout Armenia.
Today, an expanded meeting on the program of joint activities and interaction carried out during the whitefish spawning period in Lake Sevan was held at the Ministry of Environment under the leadership of Minister Hakob Simidyan with the participation of Deputy Minister Gayane Gabrielyan, representatives of the Sevan National Park, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of RA, the RA Police, the Gegharkunik Regional Administration, Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body and the Yerevan Municipality.

The Government approved the draft Government Resolution "On Amendments to the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No. 1308-n of November 12, 2009" submitted by the Ministry of Environment.
The draft proposes to amend the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No. 1308-n of November 12, 2009, as a result of which the materials included in the list of hydrofluorocarbons approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No. 1368-n of August 20, 2020, will not be considered military goods, since they are used in various industries (in particular, in the food industry), cooling systems, with their technical characteristics, according to their structural characteristics, they are not specially designed and are not intended for military use.

Deputy Minister of Environment Gayane Gabrielyan took part in the environmental session of Asia Europe Economic Forum 2021
Gayane Gbrielyan thanked the Chinese side for the invitation and noted the importance of such forums in terms of uniting around the implementation of joint goals and prospects for new cooperation.
The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for organizing the forum, as well as for the constant support and cooperation.
