From May 18 to 25, the 10th World Water Forum was held in Indonesia, in which the delegation of Armenia, led by Deputy Minister of Environment Tigran Gabrielyan, participated.
About 20,000 delegates from 160 countries participated in the forum.
Deputy Minister Tigran Gabrielyan participated in the ministerial meeting held from May 19 to 21 within the framework of the forum and gave a speech.
The deputy minister presented the measures implemented by the Republic of Armenia in order to reduce the vulnerability of water resources as a result of climate change, aimed at the conservation, effective management and restoration of water resources.
The deputy minister emphasized the participation of various representatives of the political, economic, and scientific spheres in the forum aimed at identifying and overcoming the urgent challenges that threaten the management of the water sector.
Within the framework of the meeting, the ministerial declaration entitled "Water for Shared Prosperity" was adopted.
