Today, it took place a workshop on Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) Partnership Plan with the participation of government agencies, NGOs and international donors.
The workshop was focused on raising awareness of stakeholders about the importance of the Partnership Plan in coordinating international backing to Armenia, thus mobilizing rapid, large-scale technical and financial assistance.
The workshop was also addressed to ensuring the representation of a wide range of stakeholders in the country in the further processes of the NDC Partnership Plan.
Mihaela Stojkoska, the Resident Representative a.i. of UNDP, Deputy Minister of Environment Anna Mazmanyan, Varos Simonyan, Deputy Minister of Economy, and Deputy Director of Country Engagement for the NDC Partnership Support Unit said opening remarks. The speakers highlighted the importance of the Partnership Plan to track progress of NDC fulfillment in Armenia and, if necessary, to assume measures.
In August 2018, Armenia joined the NDC Partnership, which aims to assist its developing member countries in the process of developing and effectively implementing NDCs. Activities on the NDC Partnership Plan launched in September 2019.
