The kick-off workshop of the " Armenia Resilient Landscapes" project was held.
Hambardzum Matevosyan, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister; Aram Meymaryan, Deputy Minister of Environment of the RA; Carolin Geginat, Country Manager of the World Bank (WB) for Armenia; representatives from the Environmental Program Implementation Unit SA, the Office of the World Bank in Armenia; non-governmental and international organizations participated in the workshop.
The "Armenia Resilient Landscapes" project aims to increase the area under sustainable landscape management in selected locations and to promote sustainable economic activities to communities in targeted landscapes in Armenia.
The project package was developed as a result of the joint efforts of the World Bank and the Environmental Program Implementation Unit of the Ministry of Environment of the RA. The latter have combined their rich experience and professional capabilities to contribute to the restoration of Armenia's landscapes and more effective and sustainable management.
