Voskehat Grigoryan, Head of Specially Protected Areas and Biodiversity Policy Department of the Ministry of Environment, was selected as the laureate of the prestigious Natural Capital "Young Leaders" award

Voskehat Grigoryan, Head of Specially Protected Areas and Biodiversity Policy Department of the Ministry of Environment, was selected as the laureate of the prestigious Natural Capital "Young Leaders" award.
From June 3rd to 7th, 2024 the "Natural Capital" symposium was held at Stanford University of the United States of America, in which Aram Meimaryan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Paruyr Simonyan, Advisor to the Minister and Voskehat Grigoryan, Head of Specially Protected Areas and Biodiversity Policy Department participated. 
We are pleased to announce that Voskehat Grigoryan has been selected as a winner of the prestigious Natural Capital "Young Leaders" award. The award was presented to her on June 5 at a symposium at Stanford University. Voskehat Grigoryan stood out among the five developing countries that are members of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and was selected as the winning candidate from among them.
During the symposium, Voskehat Grigoryan presented her work process in the field of biodiversity and the issues facing the Ministry, shared the priorities of the sector, the work done in that direction on the evaluation and assessment of ecosystem services.
In her speech, Voskehat Grigoryan emphasized the importance of balancing policy development and implementation while addressing the needs and concerns of those whose livelihoods depend on ecosystem services. She also emphasized how important it is to ensure sustainable management of ecosystems, preserving them for future generations, whose social benefits are often appreciated only after they are lost.
