The Visit and Participation of the Delegation of the Republic of Armenia in the 30th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Brazil Concluded

Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment of the RA, expressed gratitude to all partners involved in the process, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RA, Mr. Yeganyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Federative Republic of Brazil, as well as the Ministry’s staff and international partners.
Throughout the visit, a number of bilateral meetings with extensive agendas were held with delegations from various countries. Armenia’s vision, priorities, and initiatives for the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), to be hosted in Armenia in 2026, were presented during several high-level events.
A number of important documents were signed within the framework of the visit, opening new opportunities for future cooperation.
Minister Matevosyan also expressed appreciation for the public’s concern and messages of support regarding the fire incident that occurred on the conference grounds in Belém. He expressed hope that the Brazilian partners will swiftly and effectively address the consequences of the incident and that the conference will fully serve its purpose by contributing to the advancement of the global climate agenda.
