By the decision of Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the RA, the delegation of the Republic of Armenia led by Hakob Simidyan, Minister of Environment, is participating in the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, held in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh).
Hambardzum Matevosyan, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister is a member of the delegation. 
The conference, attended by high-ranking representatives from dozens of countries around the world, is expected to produce groundbreaking decisions in the sector's governance to raise global ambition and accelerate action to restore land and increase drought resilience.
