On December 21, a national seminar was organized at which The draft of the National Program on Energy Saving and Renewable Energy for 2022-2030 was presented and discussed with interested parties. The project was developed within the framework of the EU-UNDP regional program "EU4Climate". 
The purpose of the discussion was to promote the development of a long-term strategy for low emissions in the energy sector in the country.
Deputy Minister of Environment Gayane Gabrielyan and Head of the Energy Department of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of RA Tigran Melkonyan welcomed the participants and noted the importance of discussing such a key document. The speakers highly appreciated the joint cooperation of interdepartmental and donor organizations aimed at reducing the impact of greenhouse gas emissions from the energy sector and countering existing mechanisms and challenges in the energy sector for greener economic development and more effective environmental conservation.
