The Summit on Wildlife Protection and National Parks in Eurasia and Eastern Europe was held

The first international summit on wildlife protection and national parks in Eurasia and Eastern Europe was held on November 7-9 in Borjomi, Georgia.
  The summit, which was attended by more than a hundred delegates from around twenty countries, was an important platform for the discussion of important issues related to wildlife conservation, including key policy issues related to protected area management, biodiversity conservation, forests, and ecotourism.
Issues regarding the monitoring of specially protected nature areas and sustainable financing for their protection were discussed.
The aim of the summit was to raise awareness, share experiences and explore common policy issues in protected areas.
From Armenia, the managers of SNCOs dealing with the management of specially protected areas of nature and representatives from the department coordinating the sector of the Ministry took part in the summit.
