At the invitation of the Forest Alliance of Armenia, Hakob Simidyan, Minister of the Environment of the RA, participated in a roundtable discussion on "The Current Status of Forest Landscape Restoration Initiatives in Armenia."
Hambardzum Matevosyan, Chief Adviser to Prime Minister; Aram Meymaryan, Deputy Minister of Environment of the RA; Vladimir Kirakosyan, Head of the Eco-Patrol Service of the Ministry of Environment; Sevak Markosyan, Director of the "Armforest" SNCO; representatives from the ministry; educational institutions, scientific and non-governmental organizations in the field and journalists participated in the roundtable discussion.
As a result of an extended discussion that lasted about 4 hours, the Minister together with his partners outlined the problems of the sector, assessed them quite honestly, presented the current situation in each of them, and mentioned the measures being implemented.
