At the initiative of the Ministry of Environment, by a joint order of the Ministers of Environment, Economy and Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, the list of communities/settlements has been supplemented which are in the immediate vicinity of forests and receive the privilege of purchasing free dried firewood for non-productive purposes. 
The dried firewood is provided free of charge to the residents of all settlements, if there is a sufficient amount of dried firewood in the nearby forest areas.
Residents of the forest communities/ settlements of the 8 regions mentioned in the list (Lori, Tavush, Kotayk, Syunik, Aragatsotn, Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, Shirak) are allowed to purchase up to 8 m3 of firewood free of charge from the relevant forestry branches of "Hayantar" SNCO in accordance with the established procedure.
