Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Meridian Exhibition Center, where the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) is scheduled to be held in Armenia in 2026. During the tour, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the conditions and technical capabilities of the center.

Nikol Pashinyan was presented with the work aimed at ensuring the accessibility and compliance of infrastructure and services, the building, design and engineering capabilities of the center, as well as professional proposals on the formation of the infrastructure necessary for holding the conference. Various proposals on the effective organization of COP17 and ensuring interdepartmental cooperation were discussed.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of organizing and holding COP17 at a high level, emphasizing that it is another good opportunity to present Armenia to the international community with its economic and cultural capabilities. Nikol Pashinyan gave specific instructions to those responsible, the implementation of which will be periodically reviewed.
