Vladimir Kirakosyan, chairman of the Forestry Committee, and Artur Petrosyan, head of the Ministry's Forest Policy Department, took part in the meeting.
Issues related to the activities of the interdepartmental working group established by the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for the effective implementation of forest restoration works were discussed, the range of problems, the solutions of which should be found through joint work, were highlighted.
During the meeting, Minister Hakob Simidyan presented to his colleagues the recent current works in the field of reforestation and afforestation, talked about the inventory problems.
Preparatory and inventory work before the autumn tree planting was discussed, issues related to the change of purpose of the lands owned by the communities and managed by them were addressed.
The parties once again reaffirmed their commitment and the need to join efforts in the conservation, protection, sustainable management and restoration of forests.
