Ara Mkrtchyan, Deputy Minister of Environment of the RA, participated in a discussion dedicated to the weekly progress of the ongoing reconstruction and organizational works at the “Meridian” Expo Center. During the meeting, the current stages of construction, infrastructure, and design works were presented. In particular, the modernization of engineering systems and the need to increase power supply capacity—both essential for bringing the Expo Center in line with international standards—were discussed. Participants also addressed the technical issues arising during the process, possible solutions, and the priority actions planned for the coming weeks. The importance of implementing the works simultaneously, rapidly, and with high quality was highlighted, given the need to complete the project on time. It should be noted that the area planned for the Blue Zone during the COP17 is the “Meridian” Expo Center.
