The meeting focused on the preparatory process for the COP17, which will be held in Armenia in 2026.
The parties discussed key areas for engaging international partners and deepening cooperation within the framework of the preparations, including capacity building, coordination of professional agendas, and the organizational and political support mechanisms required for the successful organization of the conference.
They also reviewed the implementation of agreements reached during their previous three meetings, summarizing the steps already taken, identifying areas requiring more active practical implementation, and outlining a roadmap of concrete joint actions for the next stage of cooperation.
The parties emphasized that sustained dialogue and close coordination are essential to ensure that COP17 delivers long-term impact and contributes meaningfully to Armenia’s priorities, regional cooperation, and the global biodiversity agenda.
