A joint meeting of the permanent interdepartmental working groups on climate change mitigation and adaptation, financing, and country accountability under the Convention was held by the Interdepartmental Coordination Council responsible for implementing the requirements of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and Paris Agreement.
Nona Budoyan, Head of the Climate Policy Department, welcomed the attendees and outlined the efforts underway to fulfill Armenia’s commitments under the Paris Agreement and advance the national climate agenda. She emphasized the importance of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), discussed potential support mechanisms for implementation—including the NDC Partnership—and informed that in 2025, Armenia plans to review and submit the new NDC 3.0 document for government approval.
