Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment of the RA, received Koryun Khachatryan, Executive Director of the H. Hovnanyan Family Foundation in Armenia, and Anahit Hakobyan, Programs Manager of the H. Hovnanian Family Foundation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed potential areas of cooperation between the Ministry and the Foundation, focusing on environmental initiatives — particularly biodiversity conservation, sustainable natural resource management, and the development of environmental education programs.
The parties also discussed the preparatory work for the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), exploring possible areas of cooperation to ensure Armenia’s effective participation in the conference.
Minister Matevosyan highly appreciated the programmes implemented by the H. Hovnanyan Foundation, which for years have contributed to the development of Armenia’s environmental, scientific, and educational sectors. He emphasized that the Ministry stands ready to continue the partnership and advance environmental priorities through joint initiatives.
The Foundation’s representatives, in turn, reaffirmed their readiness to support state and public initiatives aimed at environmental protection and to promote Armenia’s environmental agenda on international platforms.
