Within the framework of the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, held in Saudi Arabia, Hakob Simidyan, Minister of Environment of the RA and Hambardzum Matevosyan, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister of the RA participated in the high-level ministerial dialogues (Leaders Summit).
During the summit, ministers representing various regional groups, heads of international organizations and environmental conventions focused on raising global ambitions and accelerating action on drought resilience and land restoration.
The event addressed structural issues, such as the mobilization of public and private finance to address the consequences of environmental problems, as well as the expansion of global and national policy instruments for active drought management.
