On July 28, Ararat Regional Crisis Management Center received information that a fire had broken out in the area called "Yeranos" in "Khosrov Forest" State Reserve.
One combat unit from the fire-rescue squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RA went to the fire scene.
It was determined that the fire was caused by lightning.
According to preliminary data, on July 27, 28 square meters were burned: 4 large and small juniper trees, and on July 28, 8 square meters of grassy area and partially 1 juniper tree.
Due to joint efforts, the danger of fire spread was neutralized and shift schedule was established.
9 employees of the Eco-Patrol Service of the Ministry of Environment, 4 rescue workers and 1 employee from the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) ​​took part in the firefighting.
