The Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture, and Environment Protection of the National Assembly expressed a favorable opinion on the draft laws submitted by the Ministry of Environment of the RA for discussion at the second reading.
The adoption of the draft law “On Making Amendments and Addenda to the Water Code of the Republic of Armenia” will regulate the process of riverbed cleaning and clarify the regulations related to the issuance, review, and suspension of water use permits, which will contribute to the effective management of water resources.
Tigran Gabrielyan, Deputy Minister of Environment of the RA made this statement during the May 5 meeting of the Standing Committee.
