In order to promote the works in the field of ecological education in the Republic, as well as to increase the level of eco-education, the Ministry of Environment continues to carry out activities.
If we do not harm the snake, it will not attack. During the activation of snakes, an eco-educational awareness event was organized in the State Museum of Nature of Armenia regarding this and other topics related to snakes. Levon Aghasyan, legal adviser of the Ministry of Environment, herpetologist, informed the participants of the event: how to distinguish snakes, what snakes are found in Armenia, which are poisonous, which are not, what to do when you see them, what to do in case of a bite to act, to give what help?
So:
MEETING THE SNAKE
- Don't panic
- Do not make sudden movements. stay still
- Do not try to hit or damage,
- Wait patiently. the snake itself will go away.
IN CASE OF SNAKE BITE
- Consult a doctor immediately
- Do not engage in self-medication.
- Do not cling to the wound, do not try to solve the problem yourself

Remember, snakes, like any animal, are an important part of the ecosystem, so let's preserve them, not destroy them. Destruction of snakes registered in the Red Book is an environmental offense, the damage caused as a result of which is compensated in accordance with the law.
