The Ministry of Environment has circulated the draft order "On establishing the list of hunting animals, the permissible amounts of their use and hunting dates for 2023-2024" on the e-draft.am platform.
The basis of the order is Article 5, Part 2, Article 8, Part 1, Clause 8 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On Hunting and Management of Hunting Economy", according to which the types of animals intended for hunting, periods, places, hunting are defined. the days.
According to the proposed project, during the hunting season of 2023-2024, persons with a hunting permit for the animal species specified in the appendix to the order can carry out unlimited hunting of gray ravens, magpies, wolves and jackals, and according to the appendix to the order, you can hunt quail, partridge, blue pigeon, wood pigeon, mallard, whistling merganser, black grouse, coot, moorhen, hare, badger, partridge, wild boar, fox. in the specified amount, in the specified period.
The draft stipulates that hunting should be carried out only on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on holidays and memorial days approved by the Law "On Holidays and Memorial Days of the Republic of Armenia".
Wild boar hunting is allowed in Lori, Tavush, Syunik and Vayots Dzor marzes.
The public discussion period for the draft order is set for 2023. August 1-16.
