Responding to the proposal of non-governmental organizations, the Ministry of Environment has extended the deadline for submitting opinions to the draft decree of the Minister of Environment " On Approving the Guidelines for Strategic Environmental Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment ".

The project was developed by the Ministry of Environment and is already in the circulation stage. The project was published for public discussion from July 15 to July 30 of this year on the “Unified Website for Publication of Legal Acts’ Drafts” (e-draft)
The draft was developed based on the requirements of paragraph 12 of the appendix to the decision N866-Ա "On Approving the List of Measures Ensuring the Implementation of the Law of the RA" on amending the law "On Environmental Impact Assessment and Expertise."
- The process of the main stages of the SEA, methods of implementation, public participation, alternative versions of the founding document, and mitigation measures were described in the SEA guideline.
- The process of the main stages of the EIA, EIA report, public participation, implementation methods, and monitoring were described in the EIA guideline.
- The EIA and SEA implementation tools, including questionnaires, forms, assessment charts, etc. are presented in the guidelines.
