Minister Hakob Simidyan met with Minister of Environment, Territorial Planning and Infrastructure of Kosovo Libern Aliu during the session of the seventh assembly of the Global Environment Facility.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the sphere. Minister Hakob Simidyan presented the programs implemented by the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the direction of solving environmental problems, spoke about the legislative reforms launched in the field:
During the meeting, the parties discussed, in particular, the climate agenda, the prospects for the implementation of programs aimed at solving the problems of protecting protected areas, forests, Lake Sevan. The issues of effective management of hazardous materials and waste and conservation of biodiversity were touched upon.
The Minister once again stated that close cooperation with international partners is very important in environmental management.
Recall that by the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan was sent to Canada (Vancouver) on August 21-28, 2023 to participate in the session of the seventh assembly of the Global Environment Facility and related meetings, including ministerial meetings.
