The Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan took part in the autumn nationwide tree planting organized within the framework of the "10 million trees" initiative in the territory of the Yerevan Forest State of the "Hrazdan Forestry" branch of "Hayantar" SNCO and in the Byurakan Forest State of the "Aragatsotn Forestry" branch.
Employees of the central office of the Ministry of Environment and subordinate units planted about 1,000 seedlings, mainly ash trees, on the territory of the Yerevan Forestry.
250 thousand seedlings will be planted at this stage of planting.
Analyzing the results of the spring planting of trees, this time mainly planting material with a closed root system, which has a viscosity of 80-90%, was chosen.
Applications for participation in the nationwide tree planting were submitted by a number of organizations, and today hundreds of citizens took part in tree planting. We can say with confidence that we are approaching the first million of the "10 million trees" initiative.
According to this nationwide initiative, the Ministry of Environment wants to influence the behavior of society and every next time include a wider range of participation of citizens concerned about the green future of Armenia.
Within the framework of the initiative, Agrarians also contributed to the nationwide planting of trees.
At the initiative of the ecological club of the Student Council of the National Agrarian University of Armenia, students of the Agrarian University in the territory of Byurakan Forest State took part in the autumn nationwide tree planting.
The participants of the initiative fulfilled their share of planting trees that ensure a green future for Armenia.
As part of the "10 million trees" initiative, tree planting was also organized on the territory of the administrative building of the " Khosrov Forest State Reserve ".
