"Zikatar" state reserve was established on April 8, 2010.
- The reserve is located in the northwestern part of the Tavush region of the Republic of Armenia, on the slopes of the northeastern position of the Zikatar mountain peak. The height above sea level is 1250-1650 m.
- There is an environmental training center in the territory of the reserve, provided with appropriate conditions for training, living and recreation.
- There is also a natural area in the territory of the reserve mineral spring.
- It occupies an area of 150 ha and is distinguished by high biodiversity potential, endemic and relict plant species.
- The reserve is completely included in the floristic region of Ijevan, where the main vegetation type is forest.
