A working discussion was held under the leadership of Hakob Simidyan, Minister of Environment of the RA, on the current technical condition of gas generator anti-hail installations, their effectiveness, and the scientific justification of their impact on atmospheric phenomena.
The Deputy Minister of Economy of the RA, the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the RA, representatives of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RA, the Governors of Ararat, Armavir, and Aragatsotn Provinces, and representatives from academic circles of Yerevan State University and the National Agrarian University of Armenia attended the discussion.
During the meeting, Levon Azizyan, Director of the “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center” SNCO of the Ministry of Environment of the RA, presented the challenges of the current system. Participants exchanged ideas and proposed solutions aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of hail protection mechanisms.
The meeting emphasized the importance of interdepartmental cooperation and the involvement of professional expertise. Based on the discussion’s outcomes, the participants plan to develop relevant recommendations and innovative solutions grounded in scientific analysis, international experience, and advanced technical capabilities, including legislative measures.
