The State of Air Pollution in Yerevan

"Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO of the Ministry of Environment informs:
The state of air pollution in Yerevan on August 8-12.
On August 8-12, the dust content exceeded the threshold limit value (TLV) in Kentron Administrative District, on August 10 and 11, in Shengavit and Nor Nork Administrative Districts and on August 11, in Arabkir Administrative District.
On August 10 and 11, the content of sulfur dioxide exceeded the TLV in Arabkir Administrative District and on August 10, in Nor Nork Administrative District.
Nitrogen dioxide content did not exceed the respective TLV, but compared to the previous days, an increase in concentration was observed at all observation station.
A fire at Nubarashen landfill may release harmful pollutants into the air, such as dioxins, polychlorinated biphenyls, polyaromatic hydrocarbons, and other pollutants.
