On July 11, within the visit of the delegation headed by Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany Jens Brandenburg the meeting with partners of SEVAMOD2 project took place on Lake Sevan.
The primary objective of the meeting was to familiarize the delegation with the environmental issues in Lake Sevan and to present selected outcomes of the project as an example for intense German-Armenian research collaboration. SEVAMOD2 project was financed by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Also potential research topics and modes of Armenian-German cooperation were discussed. Both sides agreed that the bilateral cooperation were extremely successful and of mutual benefit. The delegation encouraged the team to proceed this good collaboration between the two countries in order to address the challenges faced by Lake Sevan and its surrounding environment.
The German side expressed their willingness to support the expansion of Armenian-German cooperation in this context.

Gabrielyan, Karsten Rinke, SEVAMOD2 project leader and Head of the Lake Research Department of the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research of the German Federation , and Project Coordinator Martin Schultz, GIZ EU4SEVAN Water Resource Management Advisor A. Arakelyan, Director of "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO L. Azizyan, Director of Scientific Center of Zoology S. Aghayan and Hydroecology, Director of Center for Ecological Noosphere Studies L. Sahakyan of the NAS-RA have participated in the meeting among other researchers involved in the project team.
