On the initiative of the Ministry of Environment, by the decree of the Government, the specially protected areas of forest provided to a private company by the gratuitous right of use, by the right of permanent (infinite) use will be returned to the stat

By the instruction of Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan, the Legal Department of the Ministry of Environment has developed a draft decree of the Government on "Revoking the N894-N decree (June 10, 2004) of the Government of the Republic of Armenia ".
 By the N 894-N decree (June 10, 2004) of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, 339.5 hectares of the pastures of the reserve fund of "Yeghegis Gorge" area out of the administrative borders of the communities of Vayots Dzor region were transferred to the category of forest fund lands, the mentioned lands and 2060.5 hectares of land of "Yeghegis Gorge" forest fund, 495 hectares of land in Geghi and Darmanadzor sections of Syunik region were separated and were provided to Safari International Armenian-Italian Joint Venture LLC by the right of permanent (infinite) use. On August 16, 2004, an agreement was signed between "ArmForest" SNCO of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia (hereinafter the Ministry of Environment) for " Gratuitous use or the right of permanent (infinite) use of the forest fund area".
The Ministry of Environment addressed a letter (September 22, 2020) to the company’s official e-mail on the expiration of the validity of "Protection, Reproduction and Use of Fauna Objects" N ԿԱՍ-000003 contract signed on September 23, 2015 between the company and the Ministry of Nature Protection; there is an electronic confirmation of its reading.
On February 11, 2021, the Government included as a non-reportable issue the draft decree to terminate the relevant contract with Safari International LLC  on the initiative of the Ministry of Environment and to revoke  the relevant decision of the Government.
 By the adoption of the draft, it ensures the management of specially protected areas of nature or forest lands, allocation to the relevant organizations supervising protection, as in case of all other environmental-forest lands.
 By the adoption of the draft, it enables the state to fully and effectively ensure the management of specially protected areas  of nature or forest lands, thus  providing full-fledged legal basis for corresponding organizations effecting preservation.
