Deputy Minister of Environment Aram Meymaryan met with Bergljot Hovland, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway.
Heads of the ministry’s professional departments attended the meeting.
The meeting aimed to discuss the organizational preparations for COP-17.
Welcoming Ms. Hovland, Deputy Minister Aram Meymaryan once again touched upon the ways of cooperation and highlighted the environmental initiatives underway in anticipation of the conference.
“Armenian-Norwegian cooperation plays a vital role in the environmental sector,” emphasized Aram Meymaryan.
The importance of exchanging experience through maritime channels was also emphasized.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Aram Meymaryan outlined the ongoing reforms in the environmental sector and identified key areas where Armenia seeks support. He also referenced the preparatory work carried out ahead of COP-17.
