Discussion on Priority Water Sector Issues with Representatives of the "EU4Green Recovery East" Programme

Ara Mkrtchyan, Deputy Minister of Environment of the RA, met with the representatives of international partner organizations implementing the “EU4Green Recovery East” programme, including the Environment Agency Austria, International Office for Water (OiEau, France), and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.
During the meeting, the environmental protection priorities of Armenia in the water sector were presented. The parties also discussed approaches and principles for further cooperation within the framework of the programme, taking into account the sector’s priority directions.
A number of issues related to environmental monitoring were also addressed.
The “EU4Green Recovery East” programme supports Eastern Partnership countries in transitioning to a greener, more resilient, and competitive economy. The programme is funded by the EU with €21.3 million for 2025–2028 and builds on the results achieved over the past decade with EU support in improving water resources management and promoting a green economy.
