On September 1, Armenian mouflons were recorded as a result of the monitoring carried out in the "Zangezur" nature reserve of the "Zangezur" biosphere complex of the Ministry of Environment.
Armenian mouflon (lat.: Ovis orientalis gmelini).
It is registered in the RA Animals Red Book. The species is included in the Red List of the IUCN (ver. 3.1) with the status "Vulnerable A2cde". The subspecies is assessed as "Endangered" according to the IUCN Red List criteria.
