Representatives from the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the RA, Yerevan Municipality, and other relevant departments, along with members of the Union of Builders of Armenia, the Association of the Armenian Developers, and individual developers, participated in the discussion.
Arpine Panoyan, Head of the Atmospheric Policy Department of the Ministry of Environment of the RA, presented the main issues of atmospheric air protection in the construction sector, and then discussed the legislation regulating the sector.
Mesrop Avagyan, Head of the Water and Atmosphere Control Department of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the RA, presented statistical data and information on inspections carried out in the field of atmospheric air protection.
The representative of the Environmental Protection Department of the Yerevan Municipality spoke about the monitoring activities carried out in the capital.
During the meeting, the requirement for dust suppression, including the use of dust control equipment, in the construction and mining sectors were discussed, along with international experience in this field.
The participants of the meeting presented their views on solving the issue and agreed to collaborate with the policy-making department to find solutions.
