Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan Participates in the 7th Session of the UN Environment Assembly

By the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment of the RA, was delegated to Nairobi, Republic of Kenya, to take part in the 7th session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-7).
UNEA is convened every two years and is one of the largest high-level platforms dedicated to global environmental policy and agendas. UNEA-7 is also among the final major international events preceding COP17.
The Minister’s participation in the Assembly plays a significant role in ensuring full engagement in the decision-making process, establishing key partnerships and communication channels, and carrying out effective negotiation work.
During the visit, Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan is scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings and deliver remarks at key events.
Within the framework of UNEA-7, the launch of the COP17 logo and the presentation of its concept are also planned, serving as an important milestone in advancing the communication and political agenda of the upcoming summit.
