A newspaper circulated the news about illegal felling in the area in the vicinity of a military unit in the RA Gegharkunik Region (“Sevan” national park). The RA Ministry of Nature Protection informs that felling was implemented according to the permission of the latter and entirely in the above mentioned territory. The RA Ministry of Defense previously informed that the trees impeded some technical works in the military unit and there was a necessity of felling. It was done within the defined period of time and extent.   RA MNP Information and Public Relation Department
